Iranian ‘Castle of Dreams’ to vie in Tunisia

Iranian film ‘Castle of Dreams’ is to compete at the 2019 Carthage filmfest in Tunisia.

Directed by Reza Mirkarimi, the movie ‘Castle of Dreams’ has been selected to vie at the 2019 Carthage Film Festival (JCC) in Tunisia.

A short synopsis for the film reads “Jalal Moradi, a 42-year-old father of two, kills a family in an accident. In the court of law, the murder is recognized as accidental killing without intent. After getting out of prison, he leaves his wife and kids and moves to another city. Two years later, he must go back to his hometown as his wife is brain-dead.”

The film’s cast members include Hamed Behdad, Mohammad Asgari, Zhila Shahi, Akbar Ayeen, Azadeh Nobahar, Mohammad Ashkanfar, Youna Tadayyon, and Niyousha Alipour.

JCC is celebrating its 53rd anniversary this year. The fest showcases African and Arab films as well as films from Asia and Latin America.

The fest brings the moviegoers and filmmakers together. It gives them the chance to meet and discuss the films.

The fest is slated for October 26- November 2, 2019.
